Terms of Service

What this is

Key is a gate-access service provided to gated communities by Zorviancode, through its app studio Kode Solutions. Your right to use it comes from your community’s agreement with us. If your community stops using Key, or you stop being a resident, your access ends.

Your account

Your account is yours alone. Keep your sign-in secure and do not let anyone else use it. Tell your community’s management, or us, immediately if you think someone else has access to it. Give accurate information — a decision at a gate may be made based on it.

Passes

A pass you issue is your responsibility. Only issue passes to people you genuinely intend to admit, and only for as long as they need. Do not share a pass publicly. Your community may limit how many passes you can issue, or when.

A pass is permission to approach a gate, not a guarantee of entry. A guard or your community’s management may refuse entry, and Key records that refusal.

Guards and staff

If you use Key as a guard or an administrator, you do so on behalf of your employer or your community. Record entries accurately, and do not use what you see for any purpose other than your duties.

What you may not do

• Impersonate anyone, or issue passes for a unit that is not yours.
• Forge, copy or alter a pass.
• Interfere with the service, or try to reach data that is not yours.
• Use Key to harass anyone or to break the law.

Availability

We work to keep Key running, but we do not promise it will never be unavailable. Your community’s gates must be able to operate without Key — guards can always fall back to their manual process, and we support them in doing so.

Our responsibility

Key is a tool that supports your community’s security. It does not replace that security, and it does not make us responsible for the community’s physical security, for its decisions about who may enter, or for the conduct of anyone admitted. [Limitation of liability is under legal review.]

Suspension

We or your community’s management may suspend an account that appears compromised or is being misused. Where we can, we will say why.

Changes and ending

We may change these terms; material changes will be notified in the app. You may stop using Key at any time by asking your community’s management to remove your access.

Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Arab Republic of Egypt. [Jurisdiction clause under legal review.]
